CLEANER ... DRIER ... SMOOTHER

DermaTherapy® represents a proprietary new fabric technology created specifically for bedding.  This revolutionary new development in fabric science results in a cleaner, drier, and smoother sleeping surface.

DermaTherapy is cleaner, drier, and smoother -- providing for a surprisingly comfortable sleep experience.  Multiple preventative features were designed into the fabrics to minimize the irritation caused by atopic dermatitis, the most common type of eczema.  The shape of the fibers creates tiny channels that wick moisture away and dry skin more quickly.

FEEL THE DIFFERENCE

Bed linens made of DermaTherapy fabrics offer a sleep surface that is superior to cotton in a number of ways:

Skin Problems
Contributing Factors
DermaTherapy Cotton
Moisture Control Fibers wick moisture away quickly. You stay drier. Absorbs moisture quickly, inhibiting evaporation and prolonging drying.
Friction Reduction Extremely smooth to minimize abrasion on sensitive skin. Millions of tiny fibers protrude and can cause irritation.
Soil Release Soil release finish aids release of oily stains Cotton bedding has no special treatment to enhance cleaning.

DermaTherapy fabrics are woven of fibers with unique cross sections that create micro-channels to wick moisture away and quickly dry the skin. Evaporation takes place on the fabric – not on the skin.

PERFORMANCE PROVEN IN A CLINICAL TRIAL

A clinical trial was conducted by the Department of Dermatology, School of Medicine, at Wake Forest University.   Thirty-seven patients with mild eczema and/or psoriasis participated in the 8-week study.
CONCLUSIONS Compared with their current cotton bedding, statistically significant improvements were seen in:

  • Severity of atopic dermatitis and eczema
  • Amount of itching and tendency to scratch
  • Overall skin appearance
  • Amount of uninterrupted sleep
  • Amount of moisturizers used
  • Level of perceived comfort

DermaTherapy was given 510(k) marketing clearance [K061242] by the FDA as a Class I Medical Device for the treatment of atopic dermatitis and eczema – The first bed linens to achieve that classification!
